“Fare castelli in aria” è un tipico detto italiano dall’accezione pessimistica: fare progetti molto ambiziosi ma irrealizzabili o immaginari.
Il lavoro nasce dalla volontà di ridisegnare questa espressione nel tentativo di manipolare l’impossibile, l’inconscio.
Indagare un’ essenza visibile solo nell’aria come un miraggio.
Si crea così un paesaggio onirico, colorato e surreale costellato di forme astratte, naturalistiche.
Strane creature che si affidano all’immaginazione per essere identificate in qualcosa.
Torri contorte che si allungano verso l’alto, come a raggiungere alte vette.
L’illusione nel seguire le proprie fantasie.
"Making castles in the air" is a typical Italian pessimistic saying with the meaning of making very ambitious projects but unattainable or imaginary.
The work stems from the desire to redesign this expression in an attempt to manipulate the impossible, the unconscious.
Investigating an essence visible only in the air like a mirage.
This creates a dreamlike, colorful and surreal landscape studded with abstract, naturalistic shapes.
